Yvonne Wemyss, Equality and Access Consultant

Recently joining the ABT Safety Team, Yvonne has a sound understanding of the public, third and private sector with 30 years experience of working on legislation, policy and service delivery. Yvonne currently specialises in Equality legislation, disability access, partnership working and skills development, providing Access Audit Services, Disability Awareness & Equality Training and Expert Witness Services (Discrimination).

Qualifications

Registered auditor and member of the National Register of Access Consultants (NRAC)

Experience

Over 27 years experience of working in Local Government at Senior Management level with responsibility for strategy, policy and service delivery, specialising in Planning and Housing.

6 years experience of working in Scottish Government, specialising in Housing and Equality.

2 years experience of working in the third sector, specialising in disability and capacity building within the voluntary sector.

Yvonne has considerable experience of delivering bespoke services to suit the needs of the Client, including strategic planning, policy development and training solutions.
