Reasonable Adjustment

Reasonable adjustment is a means by which a service provider can ensure the environment is suitable to meet the needs of a disabled person. The term reasonable adjustment can be considered as subjective, and might be perceived in differing ways by individuals. However, if you consider the definition of reasonable as ‘having sound judgement, fair and sensible’ or ‘as much as is appropriate or fair, moderate’, then it is easier to understand that to meet the term ‘reasonable adjustment’ in many cases, may be achieved by a change to management procedures or a simple adaptation.
